Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Python and Go.
- Lead database design and optimization strategies for high-throughput systems.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, technical planning, and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Frontend Engineers to deliver high-quality features.
- Ensure system reliability, security, and performance through rigorous testing and monitoring.
- Drive technical debt reduction and refactor legacy codebases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, specifically in backend development.
- Deep expertise in Python (Django/FastAPI) or Go (Golang).
- Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL solutions (MongoDB/Cassandra).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
