Job Description
Are you ready to architect the future of artificial intelligence? 2026 is a next-generation technology firm dedicated to solving humanity's most complex challenges through advanced AI systems. We are not just building software; we are defining the trajectory of digital evolution.
We are seeking a visionary Senior AI Research Engineer to join our elite team in San Francisco. In this pivotal role, you will lead the research and development of cutting-edge Large Language Models (LLMs) and autonomous agents, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in generative AI.
If you are driven by technical complexity, obsessed with model performance, and eager to work with state-of-the-art infrastructure, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Architect and train scalable deep learning models using PyTorch and TensorFlow, focusing on LLMs and computer vision.
- Optimize inference pipelines and model serving infrastructure to ensure sub-millisecond latency in high-traffic production environments.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams of data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to translate research breakthroughs into market-ready products.
- Conduct rigorous experimentation, A/B testing, and model evaluation to validate performance and accuracy across diverse datasets.
- Establish and enforce best practices for code quality, reproducibility, and MLOps workflows.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical vision of the AI platform.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in building, deploying, and scaling machine learning systems.
- Deep expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Transformer architectures, and reinforcement learning.
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and modern cloud-native stacks (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ACL) or shipping high-impact open-source models.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical architecture discussions and mentor junior talent.
