Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough physical assessments and monitor patient health status to identify immediate and long-term needs.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments according to hospital protocols and legal standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment to ensure patient safety.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and support services to coordinate seamless patient care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Visa Eligibility: Candidates must be eligible for H1B, H1B1, or other work visa sponsorship.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR), and excellent verbal communication abilities.
