Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in emergency, critical care, and general medicine departments
- Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures per physician protocols
- Monitor patient vitals and document electronic health records with 99% accuracy
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans with physicians, therapists, and support staff
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge procedures
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous training programs
Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license or compact license eligibility
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- 2+ years of acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Valid Michigan driver's license for travel between facilities
