Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in strict adherence to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient health and promptly communicate any critical changes or deterioration to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, post-discharge care, and health maintenance strategies.
- Document all patient encounters, assessments, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment while adhering to all infection control and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the United States, or a valid foreign license with eligibility for sponsorship.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is required; other certifications (PALS, CCRN) are preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Michigan State Nursing License upon employment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
