Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings with focus on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergency situations with rapid intervention
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge protocols
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital safety regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous learning programs
Qualifications
- Current Tennessee RN license (or compact license eligible)
- ACLS/BLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic EMR preferred)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
