Responsibilities
- Front Desk Operations: Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a professional and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Communication Management: Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls with clarity and professionalism; manage email correspondence promptly.
- Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments, manage the calendar, and coordinate reminders effectively to reduce no-shows.
- Administrative Support: Handle patient check-ins, verify insurance information, and process payments accurately using our practice management software.
- Office Management: Maintain the reception area, manage office supplies inventory, and ensure the lobby is organized and inviting.
- Data Entry: Update patient records, file documents, and assist with general clerical duties as needed.
- Multi-Tasking: Assist with billing inquiries and provide general direction to visitors as required.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and practice management software (e.g., AthenaHealth, EPIC) is a plus.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
- Professionalism: Must possess a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Availability: Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
- Language: Bilingual (Spanish) is highly desirable.
