Responsibilities
- Architect scalable quantum computing systems with 100+ qubit coherence
- Design cryogenic cooling solutions for quantum processors operating at <10mK
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum networks
- Lead integration of photonic interconnects between quantum nodes
- Optimize quantum-classical hybrid computing workflows
- Collaborate with MIT and Caltech on quantum-safe cryptography standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics/Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction algorithms (surface codes, LDPC)
- Proficiency in quantum circuit optimization (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Security clearance for DOE quantum initiatives preferred
