Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical systems
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at industry conferences
- Optimize quantum circuit performance for specific hardware platforms
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols using simulators and early-stage hardware
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to technical documentation
- Identify emerging quantum technologies with commercial potential
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in quantum computing research or development
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and information theory
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Publication record in quantum computing or adjacent fields
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and innovative mindset
