Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing protocols on 50+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into classical architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and industry conferences
- Develop quantum error mitigation strategies for near-term fault-tolerant systems
- Secure $1M+ in research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing venues
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM, Google, Rigetti) simulators
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contracts
