Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance metrics
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks

- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure federal and industry research grants targeting 2026 quantum milestones
- Collaborate with defense and healthcare sectors on quantum security applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting and trapped-ion quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure NSF/DARPA funding for quantum research
- Strong background in quantum cryptography and post-quantum security
- Patent portfolio in quantum computing or adjacent fields preferred
