Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for NISQ-era and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives targeting quantum supremacy in AI optimization by 2026
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to achieve >99.9% qubit fidelity
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Mentor PhD researchers and interns in quantum information theory
- Translate quantum research prototypes into scalable commercial solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Computational Mathematics (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development with superconducting or photonic systems
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks (e.g., PennyLane, Qiskit Aqua)
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and quantum simulation tools
- Track record of publications in Nature/Science journals or IEEE Quantum
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware interfaces (QASM, OpenQASM 3.0)
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex multi-disciplinary research projects
