Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error-corrected quantum systems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and cryptography
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Develop roadmaps for quantum computing applications in commercial sectors
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years of experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Publication record in quantum information science or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel programming
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Azure Quantum)
