Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead fault-tolerant quantum computing research using topological qubit architectures
- Develop error correction protocols for 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum-classical interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum R&D
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (exceptional MS candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum error correction
