Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and simulation applications
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance quantum system reliability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge theoretical research with practical quantum processor implementations
- Lead research initiatives targeting quantum advantage in real-world problem domains
- Publish findings in leading journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with quantum simulation frameworks and high-performance computing
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental protocols
- Excellent written communication skills for technical documentation and grant proposals
