Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world industrial applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in quantum computing grants from NSF/DARPA
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive technical strategy for 2026 roadmap
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Published 10+ papers in quantum computing or related top-tier conferences
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and NISQ-era limitations
- Proven track record of translating theoretical research into scalable solutions
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures and parallelization
- Strong communicator capable of presenting complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
