Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical 2026 applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at quantum computing conferences
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols for next-gen security
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design and complexity analysis
- Publication record in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Familiarity with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Proven ability to lead cross-disciplinary research initiatives
- US citizenship required for government project collaborations
