Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum processors at room temperature
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Partner with US DoE and NASA on quantum-secured satellite communication systems
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum error correction methodologies
- Drive open-source contributions to Qiskit and Cirq frameworks
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA grants for quantum supremacy projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2025 graduates)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or topological quantum computing
- Published research in quantum error correction or variational quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in Q# and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants
- Expertise in quantum machine learning architectures
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems below 10mK
- Strong background in tensor network simulations
