Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental quantum system testing and error correction protocol development
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit stability and coherence times
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Develop quantum software development kits (SDKs) for industry adoption
- Mentor junior researchers and lead cross-functional quantum computing workshops
- Secure patents for novel quantum methodologies and computational models
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science with 5+ years of research experience
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields (Nature/Science/IEEE journals)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical high-performance computing
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Expertise in complex mathematical modeling and statistical analysis
- Proven ability to secure government/industry research grants ($500K+ preferred)
