Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Secure $5M+ in DoE/NSF grants for quantum research initiatives
- Author 3+ peer-reviewed publications annually in top-tier journals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Contribute to quantum hardware-software co-design specifications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning
- Publication record in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Familiarity with quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Strong programming skills in Python/C++ with quantum libraries (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with quantum error correction and fault-tolerance protocols
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
