Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead quantum error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum software stacks
- Publish 2-3 peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier journals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants through proposal development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum machine learning
- Expertise in quantum annealing and superconducting qubit systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures
- Proven ability to secure federal research funding (NSF/DOE)
