Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical industry applications
- Lead experiments on quantum error correction and qubit coherence optimization
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve quantum processor performance
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Develop quantum machine learning models for predictive analytics
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional teams
- Secure patents for novel quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published papers in quantum information science or equivalent contributions
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and linear algebra
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion trap technologies
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Ability to secure DoD or NSF research clearance preferred
