Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams on qubit coherence optimization
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor PhD interns on quantum programming frameworks
- Secure $1M+ in NSF/DARPA research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics/Computer Science with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on quantum circuit design experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit/Cirq programming languages
- Publication record in quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap systems
- Strong mathematical background in linear algebra/topology
- Clearable DOE security clearance preferred
