Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives to bridge quantum-classical computing paradigms
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals with 2+ annual publications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants through NSF/DoD/industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm development (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum)
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure government/industry research funding
