Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for enterprise applications
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum theory and experimental methodologies
- Collaborate with product teams to translate research into commercial solutions
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (required)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum simulation frameworks (Quil, PennyLane, or TensorFlow Quantum)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures and parallelization
- Proven ability to secure research funding and manage scientific projects
