Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum error correction protocols
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for near-term applications
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish 2+ high-impact papers annually
- Present findings at quantum computing conferences (Q2B, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and circuit optimization
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Hands-on experience with quantum hardware (superconducting, trapped ions, photonic)
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
