Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop quantum error correction protocols
- Lead cross-functional research projects on quantum machine learning applications
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at industry conferences
- Develop quantum software tools and frameworks for external developer ecosystem
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to technical documentation
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and threat vectors
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation tools
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum information theory
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information systems
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and collaborative research mindset
