Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead experimental validation on quantum hardware (superconducting/ion trap)
- Develop error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals/conferences
- Secure external grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years quantum programming experience (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Publication record in quantum computing or quantum information
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing
- Familiarity with quantum error correction codes (surface, color codes)
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration protocols
