Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with ML teams to integrate quantum acceleration into classical pipelines
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at IEEE/APS conferences
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure research grants from DARPA and NSF partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and simulation tools
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Proficiency with Python/C++ and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Validated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental protocols
