Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for complex computational challenges
- Design and optimize quantum circuits using Qiskit and Cirq frameworks
- Lead experimental validation of quantum processors on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into enterprise systems
- Publish high-impact research in leading scientific journals and conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to technical roadmapping
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Clearance for DoD research projects (or ability to obtain)
