Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum machine learning frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge quantum software-hardware integration
- Publish peer-reviewed research and secure external research grants
- Mentor junior researchers and present findings at international conferences
- Develop proprietary quantum error correction methodologies
- Partner with government agencies on national quantum security initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development with IBM Q or Rigetti
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Quipper)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC/Cloud)
- Clearance eligibility for government research partnerships
