Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum computing research roadmaps targeting 2026 commercialization milestones
- Lead a 12-person team of quantum physicists and software engineers
- Develop error-corrected qubit systems achieving >1000-qubit stability
- Partner with Fortune 100 clients to implement quantum-optimized logistics and cryptography
- Secure $5M+ in DoE/NASA grants for quantum supremacy projects
- Author peer-reviewed publications for Nature Physics and Science
- Prototype quantum machine learning models for drug discovery
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 8+ years of quantum algorithm development with 3+ publications in top journals
- Expertise in superconducting qubits, topological computing, or photonic systems
- Proven track record of securing $2M+ in government research grants
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Experience scaling quantum teams from 5 to 50+ researchers
- Patent portfolio with 5+ quantum computing-related IP
