Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop partnerships with semiconductor suppliers for qubit fabrication
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum machine learning
- Translate quantum prototypes into scalable cloud services
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Q2B conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum cryptography and quantum supremacy demonstrations
- Strong background in superconducting or trapped-ion qubit systems
- Experience managing R&D budgets exceeding $2M
- Patent portfolio in quantum algorithms or hardware
