As a key member of our Future Technologies Division, you'll drive breakthroughs in quantum algorithms, error correction, and hardware optimization. You'll collaborate with Nobel laureates, publish in top-tier journals, and translate theoretical breakthroughs into commercial applications. Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, optimization, and simulation applications
- Architect error correction frameworks enabling fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Manage cross-functional teams of quantum physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum hardware-software integration
- Secure $10M+ in research grants and partnerships with government agencies
- Translate quantum innovations into patentable IP and commercial prototypes
- Present breakthrough findings at international conferences (QIP, APS March Meeting)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or equivalent top-tier publications
- Expertise in quantum circuit design, QIP, and quantum error correction codes
- Proven track record of leading quantum computing projects with measurable outcomes
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong aptitude for mentoring researchers and fostering innovation culture
