Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for commercial applications
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Manage a cross-disciplinary team of physicists and engineers
- Secure $5M+ in government and private grants
- Develop quantum cybersecurity protocols for 2026 deployment
- Partner with Fortune 500 companies on quantum use cases
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research
- Published work in top-tier quantum journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum programming frameworks
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction techniques
- Strong track record of commercializing research
- Clearance for government quantum initiatives preferred
