Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead research in qubit coherence and error correction methodologies
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to improve quantum processor performance
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum computing applications in finance and healthcare
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Partner with industry leaders to deploy quantum solutions by 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience in quantum algorithm development
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Cirq, Qiskit)
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams
- Clearance for DoD research projects preferred
