Job Description
Shape the future of technology at Nexus Labs, where we're pioneering quantum solutions for 2026 and beyond. As our Quantum Computing Architect, you'll design next-gen quantum systems that redefine computational boundaries. Join a team of Nobel laureates and Silicon Valley veterans to develop scalable quantum architectures, optimize quantum algorithms, and lead breakthrough research in post-quantum cryptography. This role offers unparalleled resourcesâincluding access to our 128-qubit testbedâand the chance to patent revolutionary technologies that will power industries from healthcare to aerospace.
Responsibilities
- Architect scalable quantum computing systems with fault-tolerant designs for commercial deployment by 2026
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems in finance, logistics, and AI
- Lead quantum hardware-software integration projects with industry partners like IBM Quantum and Rigetti
- Design post-quantum cryptographic protocols to secure next-gen communications infrastructure
- Mentor a cross-functional team of quantum physicists, software engineers, and domain specialists
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA quantum initiatives
- Author peer-reviewed publications and technical whitepapers for IEEE and Nature journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of quantum computing experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design, error correction (surface codes), and quantum annealing
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical HPC frameworks
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum machine learning in top-tier journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (D-Wave, IonQ, Honeywell) and cloud quantum services
- Strong track record of translating theoretical quantum concepts into scalable implementations
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for complex multi-variable quantum system optimization
