Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical systems with <10ms latency requirements
- Develop error correction protocols for 100+ qubit fault-tolerant processors
- Lead integration of quantum accelerators into cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate quantum processors at millikelvin temperatures
- Publish peer-reviewed research and contribute to Qiskit/Cirq open-source frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and experimental physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or Qiskit)
- Expertise in cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Experience with quantum annealing systems (D-Wave, Advantage) and gate-based models
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Demonstrated ability to secure $1M+ in quantum computing research grants
