Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for commercial deployment
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to achieve 99.9% fidelity in qubit operations
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum algorithm optimization for 2026-scale applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum processors with classical computing systems
- Research and implement novel quantum machine learning frameworks
- Establish security protocols for quantum-resistant cryptography systems
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum computing best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 5+ years in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant design
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM Q, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Active US government security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Strong background in topological quantum computing
