Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols for enterprise security frameworks
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in prototyping quantum algorithms
- Optimize quantum error correction codes for real-world scalability challenges
- Collaborate with academic institutions on quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Present quantum computing roadmaps to C-suite executives and venture partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years developing quantum computing architectures or quantum machine learning systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction protocols (surface codes, LDPC codes)
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware integration
- Security clearance for DoD quantum research projects preferred
