Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and engineers in quantum system optimization
- Develop novel error-correction techniques for quantum neural networks
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research grants
- Author 3+ peer-reviewed publications annually in top-tier journals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum-computing methodologies
- Collaborate with DARPA and NSF on national quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computational Mathematics
- 5+ years experience with quantum annealing or superconducting qubits
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum error correction protocols
- Strong background in high-performance computing (HPC) environments
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
