Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for optimization and pattern recognition
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for real-world applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum AI models on superconducting qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processors optimized for AI workloads
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant proposals
- Mentor PhD researchers and lead cross-functional innovation sprints
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (QAOA, VQE, quantum neural networks)
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Strong background in machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum machine learning
- Experience with quantum hardware interfaces (IBM Q, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
