Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Direct daily warehouse and logistics activities to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and optimal inventory accuracy.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a high-performing team of operations staff, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
- Process Optimization: Analyze current workflows and implement lean methodologies to reduce costs and improve overall efficiency.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and company policies to maintain a secure work environment.
- Budget Management: Monitor operational budgets, control expenses, and forecast future needs to ensure financial health.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve service levels.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, supply chain, or logistics within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and MS Office Suite.
- Leadership: Strong proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving operational improvements.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Location: Must be willing to work on-site in Oakland, CA.
