Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across warehouse, transportation, and distribution channels
- Develop and optimize operational workflows to maximize productivity and reduce costs
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of 15+ operational staff
- Implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and improve quality
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for logistics services
- Analyze KPIs and prepare executive reports on operational performance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and industry regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive experience in operations leadership
- Proven expertise in supply chain management and logistics optimization
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and data analytics tools
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams in union environments
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
