Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with company goals to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of logistics coordinators and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Process Optimization: Analyze current workflows and implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and optimize operational performance.
- Resource Management: Manage budgets, inventory levels, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, order accuracy, and cost per order to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA safety standards and industry compliance requirements.
- Crisis Management: Lead the response to operational disruptions, including supply chain delays or facility emergencies, ensuring business continuity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams and managing cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex operational issues and implement effective solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting reports to executive leadership.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, as required by business needs.
