Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and logistics departments, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to optimize workflow and reduce operational costs.
- Lead, train, and mentor a diverse team of operations staff, conducting performance reviews and providing constructive feedback.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, cycle time, and inventory turnover to drive efficiency.
- Manage the departmental budget, including forecasting expenses, negotiating with vendors, and controlling operational costs.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Procurement, to align operational goals with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, supply chain, or logistics.
- Proven experience leading teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region as needed.
