Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of 50,000 sq ft distribution center including inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics coordination
- Develop and implement process improvements using Lean methodologies to reduce waste and increase productivity by 20%
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of 15+ warehouse and logistics staff through performance reviews and skill development programs
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and finance departments to align operational strategies with business objectives
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety protocols with zero-accident record maintenance
- Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement data-driven solutions for continuous improvement
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for transportation, warehousing, and equipment services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive experience in warehouse/distribution operations management with team leadership responsibilities
- Proven expertise in implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or higher certification required)
- Advanced proficiency in WMS/TMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan preferred) and data analytics tools
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and P&L management
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with track record of resolving complex operational challenges
- Valid Forklift Operator certification and OSHA 30-Hour training completion
