Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operational activities across warehouse, transportation, and distribution functions
- Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 15+ operational staff
- Monitor KPIs and generate performance reports for executive leadership
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and industry regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational goals with business objectives
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for logistics services
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years progressive experience in operations management, with 3+ in leadership roles
- Proven track record of optimizing supply chain processes and reducing operational costs
- Strong expertise in WMS, TMS, and logistics technology platforms
- OSHA 30-hour and DOT hazmat certification required
- Exceptional analytical skills with data-driven decision-making abilities
- Experience managing unionized teams and labor relations
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
