Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics coordination
- Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Lead cross-functional teams of 15+ staff members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Analyze operational KPIs to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate contracts and ensure service level compliance
- Manage annual budget of $3M+ and control operational expenditure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive experience in logistics or distribution operations management
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
- Proven track record of reducing operational costs by 15%+ through process optimization
- Advanced proficiency in WMS/TMS systems and data analysis tools
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing union and non-union teams
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT)
