Responsibilities
- Monitor server health, performance metrics, and system alerts 24/7 during the night shift.
- Execute scheduled system patches, updates, and backups to ensure data integrity and security.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with minimal supervision.
- Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Document all technical procedures, incident reports, and system changes in the knowledge base.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to transfer critical knowledge and hand off ongoing projects.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Ability to write and troubleshoot scripts using Python or Bash.
- Must be available to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
